The “wound”

It looks SO GOOD!! No redness, no scabbing except at the very top and bottom where she has some neck and belly rolls. No bruising. Just amazing! We expect some swelling as the bandages were basically a compression, but not worried about it she’s absorbed the mini seroma she had behind the bandage site in 48hrs previously.

  1. Looks really good! Can you ice it to prevent swelling – not ice direct on it but an ice pack wrapped in a towel. I found Kaiserin seem to like it and we didn’t get much swelling at all. Also make sure she can’t lick it! The licking it will set you way back. I covered with a tshirt to keep everything clean and protected and used a cone when i couldn’t watch her. But it looks great, you are almost there! Hang in there and it will be all healed up soon!

    1. She’s wearing a shirt, just took a pic of the site before we put it on… cone at night too to make sure she’s not sneaking around the shirt

  2. Nice looking incision! No bad swelling, no bad bruising or discoloration….. good job!!

    Kiss the mug for me!

  3. Wow that’s a skillful surgeon, it looks terrific! Cheers to no incision issues! Keep it covered, things may start to get itchy and it may bother her but hopefully not.
