Duchess is a 5yr old Great Dane. She’s a back talking, beautiful over dramatic pup that embodies the phrase “her bark is worse than her bite”
in December of 2018 she presented with a limp we thought was a play injury at the park but by January of 2019 with no improvement we sought extra opinions where we got a ct scan that brought our biggest fears to light.
Osteosarcoma. Not only does she have bone cancer at the young age of 5, but it’s in a very rare location taking up 75% of her scapula (shoulder blade).
With this diagnosis we are moving forward in amputating her left front limb this coming Tuesday, February 19, 2019.
We are terrified for our girl but ready to take her pain away.
